I am born and was raised on Flanders Fields and I spent my life on these battlefields.
I will guide you on the battlefields in the Somme, in France and on the Flanders Fields in Belgium.
You can choose one of our standard tours, we are specialized in full-day and multi-day tours covering most of the battlefields in Belgium and in France. We can also build a custom tour, you supply the detail, we’ll do the rest!
We are specialized in Australian and Canadian battlefield tours but we can bring you to places where New Zelanders, South Africans, or where soldiers of other countries of the Commonwealth fought.
The guides claim a sound of knowledge of WW1, what happened and where it happened, through information and experience gained over 30-years in meetings and discussions with many different historians and authors of the Great War. Claude Verhaeghe (senior tour guide and owner of l’Auberge in Ploegsteert) spent literally months working with Ted Smith, Tony Spagnoly and many others in research.
We use a Mercedes Vito Tourer, 7 passengers, comfortable and fully equipped for tour purposes. We provide high standard service and are flexible. We can bring a walker or a wheelchair to make your tour more comfortable.
I can pick you up at your hotel or train station in Ypres, Bruges, Lille or Arras. If you stay in Paris we can meet in Arras, only 50 minutes away from Paris by train.
I am looking forward to meet you.
Claude
